BES 5.0.3 Can't load administration console BUT it has been working this morning. No changes since it was working

Hello Experts,

I am not sure how many Blackberry Administrators are on this forum but here goes...

BES version = 5.0.3.
Hosted on a guest machine (Windows 2008 R2) on a VM host on our domain.

We did some maintenance over the weekend on our domain, and the only thing that affected the Blackberry server was that the VM host was rebooted (everything was working before then). There were no changes to the O/S or the BES.

We first noticed a problem with the Blackberry handsets when they weren't able to sync with the user mailboxes. Since then we have rebooted the server and this seems to have resolved this issue - syncing is working fine.

But now we have a different problem - we cannot open the Web UI (Administration Console). When we try, the web page cannot be displayed (literally, that is the error. standard error when you try and resolve a web page that doesn't exist).

I have tried to launch the Web UI from the BES server itself but I astill have the same problem. it's like as if certain services which make the Admin Console work are not running, but they are all running. The BES database sit's on another server (which runs SQL Server), but the two servers can ping each other no problems. I don't think that's the problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Many Thanks,

ASKER

Hi Guys,

kslove75 - The program is just an Internet link and as such cannot be run as an administrator. Having said that, I opened up the file location iof the link and found two applications "BAS-AS" and "NAS-NCC". I tried to run both of these applications as administrator but i still had the problem.

MikeTheRelic - See below the task manager showing all processes starting with the letter "b" (which should show all Blackberry services and their memory allocation.

Between taking the screen shot and posting this message (approx 15 minutes), the memory ussage of the BAS-AS process has been the same.

Thanks.

By virtual memory do you mean "Memory - Paged Pool"? If so, "Paged Pool" is 139k

The other memory-related columns I could add are:

"Memory - ....

... Working Set"
... Peak Working Set"
... Working Set Delta"
... Private Working Set"
... Commit Size"
... Paged Pool"
... Non-paged Pool"

There is nothing explicitly listed as "Virtual Memory".
