Upgrade SCCM 2007 to SCCM 2007 R2 then to SCCM 2012

Hi Team,

I need help on SCCM 2007, my requirements are as below.
Presently I have SCCM 2007 configured and need help on below points,

1.      Steps to upgrade SCCM 2007 to SCCM 2007 R2
2.      Then steps / pre-requisites to upgrade SCCM 2007 (R2) to SCCM 2012
3.      Is it necessary to upgrade to SCCM 2007 R2 before we upgrade to 2012
4.      What are the issues may come while upgrading to 2012?

Please let me know if any further details are required.
Thanks,
Vijay

You cannot do an inplace upgrade to 2012.  It is a side by side migration.  2012 has changed a lot from 2007.  It requires SQL on every server you install it on regardless if its just a secondary site.  You cannot upgrade 2007.

Normally you install a new SCCM 2012 Site.
It provides tools to migrate Collections,Packages, etc. to the new infrastructure.
In your case i would first start with testing the new SCCM 2012 Server. There are a lot of new cool things, but you cannot just start using it as you old SCCM Server
