Open from Excel SharePoint view

Sometimes when I go to open a file the Windows Explorer window looks like the regular Windows Explorer view that you alway see and sometimes it almost has a SharePoint look and feel.  Why is this?  How do I always ensure I get to the SharePoint sort of view?

Hello,

can you explain a bit more? What is the "SharePoint look and feel"? Could you post screenshots of the two different experiences?

Are there any particular steps that you can repeat to receive one result or the other?

What exactly do you do? Open Windows Explorer and click on a file? If so, where does the SharePoint look and feel come in. If not, what steps do you take?

cheers, teylyn

Exactly what I was describing - Thanks!...is there an advantage/disadvantage to either view?

I knew i wasn't going crazy when describing to colleague.
