Quickbooks, Multi-User over the Internet?

I have a client that has Quickbooks Simple Start '08 on his home computer. He would like to be able to access his company file from his laptop while he is out of town so he can print invoices, etc.

Is this possible?

The home computer is Windows XP, the laptop is Windows 7.

Thank you!

here is a link on how to configure the rdp.

You will also need to configure the router to forward port tcp 3389 to the home computer.  a dynamic dns service such as dyndns will also be useful unless you have a static IP address.

I considered that as a solution, but he wouldn't be able to print invoices at his remote location.
eljasbo

yes, he can.  you just need to install the printer driver for the remote printer on the host computer.

What about using a VPN?
eljasbo

quickbooks can be slow over vpn because of the large file size it can use.  offline file synchronization would work better if you wanted to do something like that.
