It seems that having tried all the suggestions that the size of the board is what was causing the problem. We have found that limiting the board to 4 pages across and putting the rest down makes Illustrator more stable. I am splitting the solution because these are all good suggestions and anybody having Illustrator problems could benefit from one or more of them.<br />

Running CS3 on a MacBook Pro with 4GB ram and plenty of HD space 10.5.8 that is experiencing frequent crashes in Illustrator. I have already checked for all updates of the OS as well as CS3. I have used Disk Utility to Repair the Drive and Fixed Permissions. This is happening with multiple files. Seems to happen even if this is the only application running. Attached is the latest crash report. <br />

Mac OS X is the desktop operating system from Apple Inc., found on Macintosh computers.
