Backup/Restore AD and Exchange
we have our AD and exchange running on ESX and everything works fine, we have all server 2008 R2 and exchange 2010 SP2.
Snapshots happen on a two hour base.
besides that, we need additional security. the idea is, to have a system state backup,for instance in case an object gets deleted,so we can restore asap.
what would be a good solution?

it is not supported because of how they work, it just doesn't work for them this is by design.

ok, for now i dont need tools.

for AD it is the system state, for Exchange system state and mailbox database, how to restore it depends on how you will backup those.

as said before, we have VM snapshots and i need another solution which makes it possible to restore items in case of a failure.
i assume,that snapshots are useless in that respect?

i changed the following things:
both DC`s are being backup by server 2008 r2 full backup.
exchange 2010 is being backed up by snapshots
anything else which is missing?
