What is the going rate for hiring a 3rd party forensics investigator to audit a PC?

Just ballpark figures what can be expected i.e. you want to engage a company to audit a PC you have in for a suspended employee, for say an allegation of storing/sharing inappropriate images, what kind of cost would typically be involved?

And how long would such a case take to turn around? I.e. if you sell your services do you do a set rate per device, or do you do the work and bill afterwards on time spent to recover the data?

You can for the basic cases, but for more advanced/potentially legal you need a specialist.

Thanks....

Just out of interest how many exams do you do in a calendar year, as a rule or rough average?
That gets closer to business intel than I'm willing to share in a public venue, pma. :)
