C++ Runtime Error
Hi people
I am getting the following error on a users Windows 7 Professional Laptop.
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Run Time Error!
This Application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.....
There is no application listed, which poses a problem.
Here is the scenario:
If you boot normally you get the error.
If you boot in safe you can get into the system but basically change nothing.
The .net in the Windows 'Turn features on and off.' is not ticked, not even partially which is not normal I don't think. However cannot enable it a it won't in Safe Mode.
Here is what I have done:
Run sfc /scannow - No change
Run a sartup repair - No change
Installed SP1 - No change
Earlier Restore Point - No Change
Tried to do Upgrade - Cannot as Safe Mode.
Tried to uninstall .net programs - Cannot as Safe Mode.
Through msconfig, systematically disabled everything ie: half quater etc to try and find the rogue service - No change.
Mutter mutter - That did not work either.
Any ideas?
