Exchange 2010 SP2 Rollup 3 Error 1603
Just installed Exchange 2010 SP2 with no problems. Trying Rollup 3 now and getting this error message. Same message if I try Rollup 1 and Rollup 2. Anyone get this to install properly?

Worked great. Thanks!
Jornak's solution worked for me on 2010 Rollup 5-v2
Start an administrative command prompt (right-click "Run as Administrator") and run the rollup update from the command line (e.g. C:\Users\Bob\Downloads\wha tever.msi)
You cant right click and run as on the rollup because its a .msp. Love Server 2008R2 and its "Run as" issues.

A common one is if you have installed any interim patches or Hotfixes - they MUST be uninstalled before you apply this RU
Other one I have come across is this :-
1. Open regedit and browse to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWAR
2. Look in the installed rolls for a key named Action (in our case it was under the MailboxRole key)
3. Back up the section of the registry in case you need to roll back
4. Delete the Action key
This also quite useful - particularly about verbose logging
