One of my coworkers started having issues with Adobe Illustrator CS5 yesterday. &nbsp;When she tries opening the program it starts to load the plug-ins and fonts and never gets past loading the fonts. &nbsp;She is able to use all other programs under Creative Suite without an issue. &nbsp;We tried logging on to the machine as another user to see if the issue lied with Illustrator or with her profile and we were able to open Illustrator without a problem. &nbsp;So then we decided to recreate her profile. &nbsp;However her profile gets created on the machine as the user TEMP and not herself.<br />

We went thorugh troubleshooting to get the TEMP profile up and running with the correct user name but that was unsuccessful. &nbsp;So we went back to the old profile (we had renamed it with a .old file extension) since the only issue she was having was with illustrator. &nbsp;Well still having the issue and running out of ideas to get this fixed. &nbsp;Adobe tech support was no help.

Illustration software is distinguished from photo-editing software in that the result is an original construction, rather than the manipulation of a photograph. Illustration software uses vector-based tools such that the content is stored digitally as resolution-independent mathematical formulae describing lines (open paths), shapes (closed paths), and color fills, strokes or gradients. Vector paths are constructed of anchor points and path segments. Illustration tools typically create precise lines, shapes and patterns with well-defined edges and are superb for working with complex constructions such as maps and typography.
