It think problem is that all above mentioned procedures are to recover or reset <b>enable password</b> or <b>enable secret</b> not username/password combination.<br />

To reset/change username/password, follow again steps from links above and when you execute:<br />
Router# copy startup-config running-config<br />
<br />
As next step do:<br />
Router# configure terminal<br />
Router(config)# username cisco password cisco<br />
Router(config)# exit<br />
Router# wr mem<br />
Router# reload<br />
<br />
That should do it.<br />

It think problem is that all above mentioned procedures are to recover or reset enable password or enable secret not username/password combination.

To reset/change username/password, follow again steps from links above and when you execute:

As next step do:

Router(config)# username cisco password cisco
Router(config)# exit
Router# wr mem
Router# reload

That should do it.
