uninstall sccm client
Hi, I am total new to SCCM...

i did some research and i know i can use Ccmsetup.exe /uninstall to remove the client.

we have hundreds of PC and I would like to use Configuration Manager 2007 software distribution to uninstall the client on a collection of computers by using a script.

or i need to do this via GPO? which one is easier?

i would like to remove the client off ALL pc and uninstall the current sccm server.
then i will begin to use the new sccm server.

could anyone tell me how to do that?

thanks.

Robin

You can just push out new client with option of upgrade/always reinstall. That will take care of this.

Or you want to use a remote script. YOu can use psexec for this.

Let me know if you want more details but it is easy to find examples online.

So you want to know how to package up this CMD?
Is that what you are saying?

sure!

create a folder. put some small text file in it called text.txt  this is your package.

then create a progam, the program line would be C:\Windows\System32\CCM\ccmsetup.exe /uninstall .

send it to DPs. then advertise it the entire collection or perhaps few machines.,

logon to some clients and see if that text.txt is in your client cache. and wait for it to uninstall client.

or you can do this.

Right click the collection >View > export. This will export the names in a text file.

Then using psexec utility run this command for each client. Some MSExcel skill will help in it

Or you can be lazy and use the readymade thing here

then create a progam, the program line would be C:\Windows\System32\CCM\ccmsetup.exe /uninstall .

how do i create this from? configuration manager console? what is the path....

So you want to know how to package up this CMD?

do not worry about it.
since there is no real need to remove the client, the new sccm will push it's client to computers, i am going to drop this questions.

I am uninstalling the old SCCM server now. and will focus on making the new sccm server working.

thank you.

Active Directory (AD) is a Microsoft brand for identity-related capabilities. In the on-premises world, Windows Server AD provides a set of identity capabilities and services, and is hugely popular (88% of Fortune 1000 and 95% of enterprises use AD). This topic includes all things Active Directory including DNS, Group Policy, DFS, troubleshooting, ADFS, and all other topics under the Microsoft AD and identity umbrella.
