Public sector produces nothing, has inflated benefits, and has to be funded by the private sector.
Is it that he can make these stupid comments knowing his base is not sophisticated enough to see thru it?

Yeah, like in Chicago (in a bankrupt state) where they're asking for a 30% increase in pay. Or in DC where the teachers soaked tax payers for a 21% increase in pay, putting the average BASE salary at $81K.
What results do we get?
-Half of Florida high school students fail reading test
-LA Schools May Lower Graduation Standards To Curb Dropouts
Public sector unions are killing state and local budgets. Teachers unions are soaking tax payers as well and education continues to suffer.

State spending: Despite the deep recession and the slow recovery, annual state spending overall hasn't dropped once. In fact, by fiscal 2011, total outlays at the state level were 14% higher than they were in 2008, according to the National Association of State Budget Officers.
