Missing PDFMaker Files Acrobat 8
I'm trying to create a PDF from a Word document and am receiving the error "Missing PDFMaker Files." I'm using Acrobat 8 professional with Word 2007 and Windows XP.
When I go into Word options, the "Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin" is enabled, but there isn't a menu option for Acrobat. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Acrobat 8.
I checked Excel and it's the same problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

I have 1 gig of memory.
I had Acrobat 8 working with Word on another Windows XP computer, but the hard drive went down.
I noticed it first when I tried to create a PDF from Word using Acrobat 8. Troubleshooting the problem made me notice that the menu option doesn't show up in Word.

I only used Acrobat V8 for about a day before Adobe replaced it with V9 to corrected bugs, so I have no way to go backward to check.
If it worked once (or on a different computer), try uninstalling both Office and Adobe. Restart. Then reinstall Office (full not typical to get all the pieces), add all the service packs (3 I recall), and patch fully. Then install Adobe. Again, do a custom install to make sure you get all the pieces you need. Update Adobe.

The other reason I have seen for this is inadequate memory in XP. How much memory do you have.
