MS Word 2010 Watermark is covered by white block area around text
I have a MS Word 2010 document with three pages. A watermark was set to be displayed on all pages. The headers for all pages are the same (no text is in the header). When the watermark is added it appears on all pages. However, on the first page the watermark is covered by a white "background" block around the text. It's as if you put a white box over the watermark such that the watermark doesn't show through it. If I remove the text from the first page the watermarks shows. If I manually move the watermark around on that page you can see it as it comes from behind the "white block" area.
What's even more strange is that the "white background box" appears several rows down on the first page. So you can see the top of the watermark, but not below the "white background box."
This only happens on the first page. There appears to be something hidden on that page that is causing it. If I remove the text and start typing then the watermark is shown as expectied. If I paste the original text back on that page then the watermark disappears completely begining at a certain point on the page. Any ideas?

Is the 'white block' specifically behind all the text?
Does the block stop after the end of the paragraph?
If so, check that the paragraph has no 'Shading' applied (sometimes it can be set to 'White' rather than 'No Colour'). The Shading option can be found within the Paragraph section of the Home tab.

To save us guessing, could you post the document, please?

Thanks so much. I knew it had something to do with that content, but could not figure out what. I highlighted all of the content that was blocking out the watermark, changed its background color to "No color" and voila! The watermark appeared as it should have.
Sorry to seem picky, but do I not deserve some points for my input?
