Drop down menus are too wide

I am working on a Drupal site, and through Firebug, I can see the CSS that controls my superfish menus across the top and down the left side on the resource pages:

But I can seem to find the CSS that controls the width of the drop downs, and they are too wide. I have tried adding width to some of the div IDs, but it doesn't take, it doesn't even show up in the CSS on firebug.

Okay, so this fixed the top navigation drop downs, but it doesn't affect the left side on the resources links, just Blog has dropdowns, or slide outs. The parent link is so wide, the dropdowns are on top of the content.

You didn't ask about that, but I don't mind answering it.

That's set in the "ul.nice-menu-right, ul.nice-menu-left, ul.nice-menu-right li, ul.nice-menu-left li" rule in "/sites/all/modules/nice_menus/nice_menus_default.css".

Actually Kravimir, I DID ask about this "CSS that controls my superfish menus across the top and down the left side on the resource pages"
thanks for your help!
I am splitting points with junipllc because he reminded me RIGHTLY to put the changes to CSS in a different place.

BYW, Drupal chooses the CSS files to be displayed and the order, and all the biblio ones, I have no control over them, and that is fine with me. Drupal is way less work in the end, creating a website.
