SQL Server 2008 R2 Evaluation Edition Installations

Can I install an Evaluation version on my server, and then couple months later, install another instance of a different Evaluation version? I'm trying to simulate two instances before going to production.

When you say "Evaluation version" are you refering to the Express versions?

You can install SQL Server 2008 and 2008R2 version on one box . . . I've installed not only both eExpress versons but also both Developer Editions on one of mine.

Evaluation version - I mean the trial version of SQL Server 2008 R2, which expires after 180 days. Not Express, I believe that is free.

Hi,
AFAIK you can install multiple evaluation instances of SQL Server on the same machine.

The end date of evaluation period (180 days) set by the first install be the end date of all the other evaluation instances?

I believe that the separate versions will each have their own evaluation end date.  Now, if you are thinking about trying to use, for instance, SQL Server 2008R2 Enterprise edition for 180 days and then install another evaluation for another 180 days, then I think it won't work. ;-)
