Hello All, I am cloning my windows 2000 sp4 server running software raid into a virtual machine.
I have cloned windows 2000 servers running physical RAID. But my proliant is pre-raid technology so I am running software raid.
Can I proceed with the physical to virtual cloning process as usual or is there other preliminary steps i should take when p2v'ing software raid servers?
when I clone the win2k server to a VM, I would like to get rid of the software RAID.
Will i have to create another virtual hard drive? I am a bit confused as to what will happen to my drives c and d ones I am running on the VM and discontinue the use of software RAID.

Since I am running windows 2000, I am under the impression that vCenter Converter 4.1 needs to be used for the cloning process. For some reason I have received various error messages pre- P2V when using Converter Standalone 5.0.
On a separate note, I am still confused as to how to dismiss the software RAID once I have the win2k VM running
