Problem with desktop PC rebooting itself at any time with reboot screen stuck half way through

Hi - in work we have a Windows 7 PC which seems to be rebooting itself when it feels like it.  There could be an interval of several days, and it reboots at any old time when my colleague is sometimes in the middle of doing something.  When it reboots, it is then stuck on the boot screen and the lady who uses the PC has to do a hard shut down of it before she is able to use it again for work.  After the second hard shutdown and restart, a message appeared that Kapersky security suite was switched off.  When she went in and switched it on again a message appeared to say there were a couple of viruses, so she got the program to remove the viruses.  We did think that perhaps the problem would be fixed with the removal of the viruses, but today again it has rebooted itself twice.

We rang Kapersky in case it was something to do with bits of the virus still there, and the technician suggested uninstalling their program to see whether for some reason that was causing it.  It was rather strange that there happened to be viruses at the same time the PC was misbehaving itself - but does anyone know of any other causes of a PC rebooting itself at random?  My colleague assures me that she hadn't switched off the Kapersky security suite.

Yes - winini.exe was against error, but of course its possible that could have been something else.  We saw an error code number 11 to do with DLLs.  Sorry, I failed to write it down at work, so am just working off memory.

I don't know what the solution was, since I subsequently left the job, but whilst there, and after uninstalling the Kapersky program, there were no more crashes - but that's not to say that was the solution in the long run.
