missing tabs in alps touchpad driver settings

Hi, when you open the properties of the touch pad you normally see several tabs, for the varioussettings  (mainly where you tick to disable if mouse plugged in)

on a new build, a user just sees standard touchpad/mouse options

i have seen plenty on google about reinstalling driver to get tabs back.   this is diffrent  user doesnt work   admin does work

Unless you grant the user local admin privileges, they can't change anything in the HKLM registry and the touchpad software is aware of that which is why the tabs are missing.
Unfortunately; I think you are stuck with that.

HI, get your point, but doesnt appear to be the cause.

Made the User a member of local admins

no change

Added the user to full control of HKLM and then the whole reg to just see

no change

enabled the tray icon,  even though it says touch pad, for a normal user it still just brings up normal mouse properties, yet an admin user gets the full alps drivers pages with all the tabs and settings.

The othe rthing that is odd, is if this driver is pushe dto client via SCCM  the sam euser gets the settings,

its only on laptop that has the driver put in at build time that the setting appear diffrent for admin and standard users
