Cisco outdoor wireless options for small warehouse?
Hello Experts,
We have a business that is based in a single-story large metal building. An exisiting wi-fi network is setup inside with two Cisco 1242 APs using the dual rubber-duck antennas.
They now require wireless access outdoors. The coverage needed is for a 150'x150' parking lot on one side of the building.
Are indoor or outdoor APs generally favored as of late? If indoor, I'd probably go with another 1242 with an external antenna. The antenna could be mounted to the side of the the metal wall which is facing this parking lot. The AP can be mounted on the inside - immediately opposite the antenna.
Could someone recommend a simple antenna solution? Many of the Cisco guides mention a ANT2440NV-R model that I am considering.
Thank you.

Both are great solutions. That Cisco URL is a fantastic summary, too.
I guess I didn't realize the AIR-ANT2450S-R was a 135 degree "sector" antenna. This will help narrow my choices significantly.
Thank you!
