This error pops up at random and kills IIS/ActiveSync.
Last week I had to recover the database the hard way by fixing the edb file.

now I am seeing this and people complain when it happens. I suspect a phone doing it and I do not know how to trace the user it might be coming from.

Faulting application w3wp.exe, version 6.0.3790.3959, faulting module msvcrt.dll, version 7.0.3790.3959.

Is there anything else that may be causing this? Everything I have read is pointing to a phone that is trying to sync bad data.

The http error logs only show abandoned connections from the various phones. We have everything from a motorola's to androids and iPhones.

Any ideas?
