Windows 7 Home Basic Remote Desktop Connection (Host) Missing

Say, The Remote Assistance is visible under System|Remote Tab, but not the RDC option? Any ideas?
Is there a way to get remote Assistance to allow automatic access?

Home versions of Windows don't allow an RDC connection to them. For that you need Pro or above.

Use something like teamviewer or logmein:

Remote assistance is available in this version - see my question. Can this be setup to allow automatic access to PC - without user assistance?

No. Remote assistance isn't the same thing as Remote Desktop. It needs user interactivity at the "Customer" side to work. That is also hinted at in the name, "Assistance". The idea is that a user sits at that PC and he doesn't know how to do something, so he asks for assistance from someone at another location, and then he can see what the other person does. Remote Desktop is a different connection where the customer doesn't see what happens (he gets disconnected from his session as non Windows Server OS's only allow one user working in a session at a time. With Logmein and Teamviewer this is different, the customer still sees what you are doing, but it isn't necessary for him to ask for the connection.

I'm aware of this - but is there a workaround or setting to override the need for the user to accept it?

No.
better to use a third party app like Teamviewer which is free for personal use and ideal for a family environment so you can help out when needed, gets through firewalls and most router configs to give a full remote link/screen.  works most current windows versions home or Pro etc.
