Mac filter via DHCP in Windows 2008 not R2

Can someone help me out here. I read that I can use allow or deny filter with MAC addresses only since dhcp in 2008 R2
But I don't have R2 only the standard 2008. Is there another possibility with the current software to regultate the passing out of ipaddresses to clients.

I'm aware of the pro's and cons with spoofing mac etc. but this mac-address filtering is an option we want to use.

Kind regards,
