PHP null array detection

I want to concoct an IF statement to tell me if (for reasons of some error) a $_POST array from an HTML form  is empty.
Here is the results from: print_r ($_POST);

[argv] => Array ( ) [argc] => 0

What IF statement can i use to catch this situation?

Apache Web ServerPHP
