Need to whitelist an address in exchange

I need to whitelist an address at the server.  I got some instructions from the Internet but this is what happened.  

[PS] C:\Windows\system32>$list (Get-ContentFilterConfig).BypassedSenders
Unexpected token '(' in expression or statement.
At line:1 char:8
+ $list ( <<<< Get-ContentFilterConfig).BypassedSenders
    + CategoryInfo          : ParserError: ((:String) [], ParentContainsErrorRecordException
    + FullyQualifiedErrorId : UnexpectedToken

Can someone give me step by step instructions?
