Can I expand my Hard Disk in VMWare ESX 4.0

I guess my question is more of I have a 2003 server that is virtualized. In Disk management I have two separate Partitions that the layout is Simple and Type is Dynmic.  Currently My HDD is full, and I was curious to see if it is possible to extend the size of this hard disk in vmware and make the hdd larger without it messing up the server.

In VMWARE the disks show up as
Hard Disk 2 Size 500GB and it looks like  I can increase it up to 1 tb, I only really need to expand it to 750 gb.

Please let me know if this is possible.

Thank you in advance.

Yes, you can expand the disk in VMware, then go to disk management in Windows and you will be able to extend the drive. In 2003 you may need to reboot, but I cannot remember for sure.

I don't think you can 2008 can not 2003 you can add another partition in a folder on the os disk and use that just like any other folder or you need the back it up and build a new server with a larger hdd and the restore using veem backup or something that understand block level backup
