reinstall os on server

I have a 2008 Data Center server that has something out of whack and it takes 2-3 hours for it to restart.  I'm tired of trying to fix it and want to wipe it and reinstall the OS.  The only thing this server does is act as a hyper v host.  I am going to move the virtuals to another host.  Will I have problems if I give the reinstalled server the same name and IP that it has now?

1) Leave the domain (change to workgroup instead).
2) Reinstall the OS.
3) Set the same name and IP if desired.
4) Join the domain again.
