DFS Replication Issue

We have 3 shares replicated between 2 servers. Replication appears to be current, but there are approximately 20K files that haven't replicated. Looking at a few of them they appear to have the temp attribute set.  Is there a way to tell DFS-R to sync temp files? These are not really temporary, they are mostly PDFs or files saved from emails that are needed for reference in the future.  If not, is there a long term solution to somehow reset the temp attribute? Perhaps a nightly powershell script?
