We have just migrated to a new server with a fresh install of Backup Exec 2010 R3. &nbsp;We have a number of tapes from the older server but I am not onsite so cannot easily do an inventory on all of them.<br />

We run nightly full backups at this site. &nbsp;Is there a way to configure the backup jobs such that if a &nbsp;new tape is detected in the drive for the media to be added to a specified media set and the backup runs overwriting the tape without need for interaction?

The term "Backup" means the methods and processes involved to copy computer data (system data as well as application data) to media other than the ones where the data originally live (disk, tape, optical, cloud). "Restore" in turn means the methods and processes involved in data recovery, i. e., bringing back copied computer data to their original location.
