Greetings!
We have been configuring our new Equallogic Ps4100XV at the production site, and our PS4100E at the recovery site for replication.
We are only storing our VMWare virtual machines on the SAN, NOT using the VMs as iSCSI initiators directly to the SAN volumes.
I have a couple of questions regarding replication of running (powered ON) VMs for disaster recovery purposes:
1. Is there anyone out there that has experience with replicating volumes containing POWERED ON VMs?
2. What is your testing results doing this?
3. Is there anyway we can replicate the volume snapshots generated on production site to the recovery site as well as the volume itself?
Thanks in advance!
