HP SA MSA20

Can anyone point me to a document that shows the proper shutdown procedure for a MSA20. I simply push the power button until the unit powers off, and was wondering if that is safe.

It is safe but you need to make sure all Disk I/O is stopped first. usually best practice is to shutdown the attached server wait 5 minutes for Disk I/O to completely stop then power down.

Pushing the power button should clear the write cache, don't pull the power leads out instead or unflushed cache will go stale in a day or so when the batteries go flat.

Thanks for answering, and that is how I have been doing it. One of the MSA20's when it is restarted rebuilds every time. I use 500GB drives select all 12 for raid6 then build out logical drives. when it is restarted it rebuilds all 3 logical drives every time. Any idea's on that?
