Windows Small Business Server 2011 Slow on Internet

Hi

We have a small business server 2011 when I try to go on the internet it is extremely slow or gives up altogether I have tried using IE and firefox with the same results. Accessing files on the server is no problem and all the other PCs on the network have no internet speed issues.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

Look at your DNS forwarders on the SBS server. If you're ISPs DNS servers are playing up or slow to respond, you may want to consider using Googles public DNS servers. Just update your DNS server forwarders, by making a note of the existing for your records and then replace them with 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

I would restart the DNS Server service after making the change or reboot the server.

Here is a reference link to help you navigate to the setting: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc754941.aspx

I would strongly recommend, from a security point of view, that you do NOT surf the Internet from the server.
