Windows Live Mail Attachments Not Showing

We have an issue whereby an employee working from home has Windows Live Mail.
Sending emails to this person with attachments from our domain makes it to their ISP and can be read by logging into their webmail fine, attachments and all, however when they then sync Windows Live Mail with their ISP to download the email the attachment does not show.

We then tried emailing an attachment using hotmail and this came through fine and displayed fine.

They are running WLM version 14.08 and windows 7.
We are sending it using Outlook 2007 SP3, Exhange 2010 have tried html and plain text email neither work.

There is a lot of talk about this issue out there but no solution i've found that works so far

There are a couple of possibilities:

1. If the attachment is in a possibly-malicious format (like .exe, .bat, .vbs, etc), WLM could be automatically be removing it for security purposes. Try sending a word doc, and see what happens

2. The antivirus / antispam program on their PC could be stripping the attachment. Try disabling the AV, and see if the attachments start coming through

3. WLM is notoriously and unbelievably buggy. There are a milion things that could go wrong there, but most often it's an issue with a corrupt WLM profile. The only way to test if there is a problem with WLM on that profile is to create a new user account on that PC (for testing only), and then set up WLM on that user account and see if the attachments start coming through
Latest version of WLM: Version 2011 (Build 15.4.3555.0308)

May be a dumb question because I'm sure you've checked this but didn't mention it...

Another dumb question... Is your Exchange domain on their safe senders list?

Thanks for all your responses so far.
I upgraded WLM to the latest version (15.4.3555.0308)
I have tried sending docx, doc, pdf and ppt files but none have come through, just the email missing attachments.
I then logged into the ISP webmail and they were there so I decided to forward the email to myself (from myself) and the attachments came through.
I then trusted the domain and the sender in the safe senders list and turned off virus protection still no success however.

So in summary any attachments from our work domain make it to the ISP mail server of this account and attachments can be viewed from there however on download it seems to strip them.
Email to this account from any other senders attachments come through fine.

Hi stratfrordDC! I was just cleaning up my monitored questions and noticed this one is still open. Were you ever able to resolve the problem? Did any of the information here help?
