Keep getting viruses, should be safe but how do I prevent it from happening again?

I run Windows 7 64 Bit, IE 9, Windows Updates on, Microsoft Security Essentials, Spybot, Maleware Bytes all fully updated.

Over the past month I have been iffected with a virus, the first time was from ebaums world watching videos :(, it redirected my searches, I ran all of the above scans on full and still had the same problem. I ended up doing a system restore from before it started.

Today all I did is install a Adobe update, search for herbal immune system helpers and watch videos on YouTube and I got another redirect virus and it also would reboot my PC after about a minute. It disabled MSE, I ended up removing and reinstalling, it would find 2 items "Trojan:Win32/Sirefef.xxx", clean then and then require a reboot, wash, rinse, repeat. If I left the system on like to do a scan it would reboot after a minute or two.

Eventually I booted in safemode and ran ComboFix, it rebooted and seemed to clean it up. I ran some quick scans with MSE and MB and so far it is clean. I am going to do full scans of everything.

So the meat of my question is why is this crap just installing on my system with no warning or anything, can videos infect your PC? I checked my IE 9 settings and the active X and install options are set to prompt. I know not using IE will be suggested and I may do that but still shouldn't my AV block it or get some type of prompt before I get infected?

Both times it happened in the background, I didn't get a warning or anything just all of a sudden I started getting redirected and then the reboot issue.

I am planning on running combofix, MSE, MB, Spybot, ESET, RUBotted, GMER, HouseCall, and TDSSKiller. Anyhting else I should run to make sure it's clean now?
