A good example that you are probably familiar with of how Access uses transactions...<br />

If you run an Action Query (update, insert, etc) through the UI and some of the records cause problems, Access will pop up a dialog box letting you know how many records were problematic. &nbsp;If memory serves me correctly (Pete can correct me if I'm wrong), you are given the option of completing the query with the records that work, or cancelling the query entirely. &nbsp;<br />
<br />
RunSQLwith the default options in code works in a similar manner - the records are returned 'outside' of your real table and then committed if the query is successful. &nbsp;If some of the records are problematic the runSQL command fails, and none of the records are written.
