Hi EE ...... I have a client using an accounting package with its Data file located on Server which experiences random "Unable to Read" and "Unable to Lock" messages. THe software package is HandiTax and so far Support have not offered much in the way of identifying Server Requirements.
My thoughts are that either VSS or AV could be scanning the file at the time of the error, but as multiple Users could be accessing a certain client at any given time it is quite hard to track.
I would like to know how to change the VSS schedule so that it will operate outside of business hours + know if anyone has any other suggestions?
