update or upgrade HMC...

wmp, maybe you can help us...

We want to update or upgrade our old HMC.. first, see:

Our HMC version: hmc-version.JPG
From fix central: fix-central-1.JPG, fix-central-2.JPG, fix-central-3.JPG

But the output: output-fix-central.pdf

We don't know which packages we have to download to update or upgrade our old HMC.

umm. better to upgrade to the latest version...

ok, we're now making all backup of hmc, systems plans of every server and then we're going to upgrade to 7.5.0...

thanks wmp..

Please remember to run the "Save Upgrade Data" step immediately before booting the Revovery DVD!
It's really important. Failure to do so will destroy all of your configuration!

Thx for the points!

Umm.. do you mean "SAve Upgrade Data" from the HMC menu manually before booting?

I thought this "Save Upgrade Data" was part of the booting process recovery DVD...

No, you must do it manually.

The HMC will remind you before continuing the upgrade after booting, but if you forgot it you must perform a normal reboot from disk, run "Save Upgrade Data" to then boot again from DVD.

wmp, sorry but don't understand ....

I'm downloading "PTF MH01311 HMC V7 R7.5.0 Recovery Media package" and "PTF MH01312, Mandatory fix for HMC Version 7 Release 7.5.0" now, then I have to create a DVD from these ISOS..ok?

Once I have all DVDs, I run "Save Upgrade Data" manually and then boot from the Recovery media DVD. Is this way?

Yes, correct.
