HP Notebook PC, able to boot, but the screen is split into four
I have an HP Notebook PC on my network that would boot, but the screen is split into four.
After several reboots, safe mode entries and auto-repairs, I was able to boot normally. However, I then noticed that the AC electrical light was not working unless I detached and reattached the AC adapter to the AC electrical port on the side of the computer every five minutes.
The internet connection was intermittent and some programs would not display correctly unless I detached and reattached the AC adapter to the AC electrical port on the side of the computer every five minutes.
Even after shutting the notebook down I still have to detach and reattach the AC adapter to the AC electrical port on the side of the computer every five minutes.
Does this sound like the AC port on the side of the computer is loose? or at least something I could fix myself (I am no idiot when it comes to computers, but not a repair technician either).
