Different types of esx nodes looking at same NFS share

Hi I have 6 NFS data stores that are presented to esx4.1 hosts with VCenter 4.1 I'm thinking to detach 4.1 esx hosts and present them to my esxi5 hosts under VCenter5.0 I want to make sure that when 2 different types of esxi hosts will read and write to same NFS shares (emc San) then they wouldn't cause any corruption. Once all my esxi4.1 hosts are connected to VCenter5 I will vmotion my VMs to esxi5 and decommission4.1 hosts. It's a production environment with around 90 VMs including very critical ones

Hello,

Testing the combination on a new NFS data store is advisable, simply create a dummy datastore for testing and share it between esx4.1 hosts and esxi5. if his setup is successfull you can be rest assured the others wont pose a problem.
