Internet Eplorer keeps throwing error code
I have a computer running Windows Vista. Everytime I open IE, I get Search Provider Default error. I have gone into Serach Default and changed my search default, added others and it doesn't change. I have installed IE 9, uninstalled IE 9 and it still comes up with "A program on your computer has corrupted your default search provider setting for IE". How can I stop this error message from appearing without changing to another browser?

syssolut--Any reason for your hesitation to run a System Restore? It is one of the simplest techniques to restore a PC to a former condition. It takes 10-15 minutes at most.

Did you try
"run Auto Runs to see what programs are running at boot. Or Process Explorer to see what is running at the time you start IE. The purpose is to see if any obvious programs are conflicting with IE 9 each time you start up.

Make another search engine the Default from the IE Tools|Manage Add-ons window and Remove the browser which is now the default. This does not uninstall either browser from the PC. Report results.

I had to return the computer back to the owner. So I changed their browser to Google Chrome and it works perfect.
