Our organization has a Win2008 server running KMS. The key for Office 2010 Standard was successfully registered.
41 of 50 WinXP clients have had no problem automatically contacting the server for a successful activation.
However, there is just ONE WinXP client that is unable to activate. The client’s event logs show communication attempts with the KMS server, but I’m not even able to force-activate it via VAMT or command line.
Please see screenshot for the “dstatusall” regarding the KMS client.
I haven’t done anything to the Win2008 server yet, but I’ve already tried a bunch of things on the client machine (resetting folder perms, validating XP, etc).
