Download and burn Kaspersky Rescue CD to a disk (<a href="http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208282173" rel="ugc">Download the ISO</a>).<br />
<br />
Boot that disk and press any key to go to the menu. Choose your language and accept the agreement. Choose the graphical mode.<br />
<br />
When it starts up go to the &quot;start menu&quot; and click terminal. Type &quot;windowsunlocker&quot; (no quotes) in the terminal to start the process. Type the number corresponding with &quot;Unlock Windows&quot; and press Enter.<br />
<br />
Restart and all of your icons and your start menu will be back!

Anti-virus software was originally developed to detect and remove computer viruses.
