FTP Security Settings
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows FTP permissioning. The issue I am facing right now is someone setup an FTP site ontop of what was which previously a Network Share.
Users now accessing that network share can not see their folders underneath the root share which is also the root FTP site although they have permissions for it.
Question is can I remove the FTP site and how will it affect the sharing permissions and NTFS permissions on the folders that are there.
Also do I understand correctly where FTP either allows READ or READ and Write on the root and that basically makes all folders underneath it inherit that no matter what the NTFS permission is for that folder?
All I can see now is that all the folders have inherited READ only when I open the Security Tab.
