Adding a Field to Report from Left Joined Table Causes Records to be Excluded

Hello Experts,

When I add a field from a table that is left joined in my data model, to the report, some records are excluded.  When I remove the field, the records are not excluded.  Can you explain why this happens?

Thank you.

Hi Chopp,

You may need to go to Visual linking expert, choose the link and try selecting left or right outer joins under link options.

Hope this works.

Thank you, James.  I ended up using a SQL view to manipulate my data.
Respectfully, Chopp

Glad you were able to work it out.  Sometimes a manual query is the best way to go, especially if you're comfortable writing your own queries.
