AX 2009 web reporting

Hi, I have an active Dynamics AX 2009 installation with about 40,000 inventory items

I was wondering if I could setup a website where I can view and filter these items, without having to go through the Dynamics client interface.

Is this possible? any API/Web services supported in AX 2009?

Which would be the option that would give me fastest development time?

Thank you

Hi,

Dynamcs AX 2009 has the Application Integration Framework feature, which you might use for such a purpose. But doesn't the AX Enterprise Portal (EP) provide access to your inventory items using IE? Or aren't you using the EP, for which (as usual) you do need several separate AX licences such as EP roles?

Thanks John,

I am just wondering if I can make a more "user friendly" interface on our internal web server that will allow easier filtering of inventory items.. would this be possible through the framework you mention, or do we need direct DB access?
