SBS 2003 Migration Prep - DCDIAG fails machine test - The current DC is not in domain controller OU

I'm preparing a SBS 2003 server for migration to SBS 2011 which was setup a long time ago by persons unknown.

When running DCDIAG as part of the preparation for the migration steps it fails in machine account test;

The current DC is not on the domain controller's OU

Now I understand that this is because the domain controller OU does not contain the  server computer.

My AD looks like this;

domain.local
     builtin
     computers
     Domain controllers (empty)
     and usual containers
then

      company name container
          computers
                 desktops
                 laptops
                 servers  (the server object is in this container)

My question is can I ignore the dcdiag error and continue regardless or do I need to move the server object to the domain controllers container?

Excellent news.  Out of curiosity - are you using the MS migration guide or Demazter's (or another one)?
