master slide in Word 2010

I am just wondering if there is a master slide feature in Word. The reason I ask is because I want to add a thick vertical line on the right side of the page for the whole document. Repeating the same process 50 times is not efficient. Thanks

On the Home tab -> Paragraph function -> Borders drop-down menu -> Borders and Shading... (last menu item).

Select the Page tab then choose the line style and the side of the page you want the border to appear (make sure to select the appropriate choice in the Apply to  option).

I do not want the border. I just want one vertical line on the right side for all the pages.
I understand that - simply do as i indicates above, and you get the following menu: User generated imageThen choose what side of the page you want the border to appear.

In fact, the vertical line is a type of page border.

Hi - I think I understand what you are getting at:Line.docx
If you go to Insert tab -·> Header -> Insert Header. Then go to Insert tab -> Shapes and select the line. All you have to do is draw a line from top to bottom and then adjust the color and thickness.
That is exactly what I am talking about. Now is it possible to get rid of the extra white border on the right side of the line. Thanks

I see - but I think it's a printer limitation. I get the same result as you...
