I use Cobian Backup and its really good and easy to use

http://www.cobiansoft.com/cobianbackup.htm

Or you can use Paragon Backup and Recovery
http://www.paragon-software.com/home/br-free

Both free and works great

Use the Native Backup in Windows Server.

Create a separate backup for each day of the week, which will give you 5 to 7 days to go back.

I have been using Create Synchronicity for about a year now and it has saved my butt twice!  It's free and it works like a charm.

You can use Actronis Backup & Recovery for Windows Server
An excellent software and no need to restart the server for backup
All sort of scheduled tasks are there
you can even mount the image to browse the file on backup

ASKER
software did exactly what I needed at the time and worked more better with a Netgear nas than anything else I tried.
