Citrix issue

I have a customer that has a citrix issue and uninstalled a citrix file and he wasnt sure what he took off.  When I access the website and login with the proper credentials all is fine.  When I click on the application to open it, it asks to either open or save the .ICA file.  Of course there isnt a citrix app on it to reconize it. I have tried Citrix Receiver and I saved the .ICA  to the dekstop, and open with the citrix receiver nothing happens. I was using IE9 and  downgraded it to IE8 and still same results.  Any help would be appreciated.

I would just reinstall the client on that machine.  

(Check the Add/Remove programs, and if the client is there, uninstall it.  If it is not, then the install should take care of it).
